Privacy Policy

The short version

• No passwords, no logins to anyone's accounts, no reading DMs, no scraping profiles.
• You decide what to share. Every profile and chat field is optional.
• Your plans and chats are private to you, and you can delete them — or all your data — at any time.
• We never put your conversations or screenshots into analytics.

What we collect

• A random browser identifier stored in a cookie, so your plans stay yours without creating an account.
• Your answers: your situation, goal, vibe, the story and notes you type, any handle or link you enter (used only as a label — we don't open it), and chat text you paste.
• Your chat messages with the BeforeHi coach, and the replies it gives.
• Screenshots you upload. They're re-encoded in your browser (removing photo metadata such as location), stored privately, and deleted automatically after 30 days — or after 24 hours if never used.
• Your generated plans and updates, so you can come back to them.
• Billing details if you subscribe: payments are handled by Stripe. We store your email address and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers — never your card number.
• Product analytics: anonymous funnel events (for example “onboarding step completed”) with no personal content.

How we use it

To create and update your roadmaps, answer you in chat, keep everything available to you, run subscriptions, prevent abuse (such as rate limiting), and improve the product.

AI processing

To create plans and chat replies, the information you provide — including screenshots — is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. We request that it is not stored for training. We instruct the AI never to guess anyone's personality, feelings, orientation or other sensitive traits from photos, and never to invent facts about people.

Information about other people

Plans are often about someone else. Please only share information you're allowed to share, redact names, numbers and faces where you can, and never share anything about a person under 18.

Your choices

• Delete a single plan (with its chat) from the plan, or everything from Account → “Delete all my data”.
• Clearing your cookies disconnects your plans from this browser.
• Manage or cancel your subscription anytime from “Manage subscription”.

Retention

Screenshots: up to 30 days. Plans and chats: until you delete them. Billing records: as long as required by law.

Adults only

BeforeHi is for people aged 18 and over, and must not be used to seek advice about anyone under 18.
